
Here is a picture of the basic EFT tapping points I use at EFT Nottingham. This is just the basic EFT sequence and we go much further during sessions but this will give you a simple tool to use when you need to. Tap firmly but gently on the following points:
- start at the side of the hand on the ‘karate chop’ point
- then move to the beginning of the eyebrows, the side of the eye and under the eye
- then under your nose
- under your mouth
- on the collar bones
- and finally under the armpits
You cannot overdose on tapping and it cannot harm you. So think of an emotional issue that bothers you, pain or discomfort in the body or an unpleasant memory or image and begin tapping.
- you don’t have to do it in the correct order for it to work
- you can miss a point and it will still work
- you can just tap on the top of the head and around the eyes on babies and young children for excellent results
Notice how you feel as you tap through the sequence:
- is the emotion subsiding or reducing in intensity?
- has the pain or discomfort changed in intensity? or has it moved around the body?
- is the image or memory fading?
If you have trouble ‘bringing up’ the emotion or feeling then try rubbing the tender spots under the collar bones for a few minutes. Keep tapping through the sequence for around 10 minutes and see if you notice a difference!
